The Dollinger concept of filter design offers many benefits. Above all, it maximizes the effective filtration area – this results in lower differential pressure loss, increased dirt holding capacity, and extended service life. The single-element design reduces downtime to a minimum when the element needs to be changed.

The structure which supports the filter medium withstands a differential pressure of up to 50 psi as standard. The rugged steel housing complies with the ASME VIII, Division 1 Pressure Vessel Design Code. The Dollinger liquid and particulate filters on the next page are based on this design concept.

Selecting the right filter medium depends on specific operating conditions. Dollinger therefore offers a range of over 200 different filter media. These include natural and synthetic materials, such as polyester, glass fiber (woven or needle-felted), Teflon, cotton and stainless steel. We supply media for retentions up to 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns.



Dollinger manufactures standard air intake filters with capacities from 1,000 to 60,000 scfm and with connections up to 48 inches. Larger filters can be custom-designed. But rather than just selling you a filter, Dollinger will carefully evaluate your specific contaminant situation and air purity requirements, and can offer assistance with sampling and particle size distribution analysis. We will then recommend the most effective combination of filter design and element efficiency.

The Problem: High speed rotating equipment such as turbines and compressors require large amounts of oil for lubrication and cooling. Much of the generated oil mist and vapor will escape through the vent of the reservoir, resulting in financial loss, damage to the environment, and a safety hazard. Conventional filters cannot prevent this because the oil droplets are too small. The superior Dollinger solution: The Dollinger Oil Mist Eliminator (OME) is a filtration system of superior efficiency – it collects 99.97% of oil droplets 0.3 micron and larger, thus removing virtually 100% of oil mist emissions. This performance places Dollinger at the very forefront of oil mist elimination technology.
